  1. Drill holes into the logs, spaced 4 cm apart, following a diamond pattern.
  2. Insert the myceliated dowels and tap them in with a hammer until firmly set in the holes.
  3. Seal each hole with beeswax to protect the mycelium.
  4. Incubate the logs in a shaded, humid area for 4–18 months.
  5. Maintain moisture and harvest the mushrooms when they are ready.
