Do you want to learn how to grow mushrooms outdoors in a practical and sustainable way?

In this intensive training you will learn to design and implement an outdoor mushroom growing area using logs and growing beds, with a practical, ecological approach adapted to the local environment.

This workshop is aimed at both enthusiasts and professionals interested in growing edible mushrooms outdoors.

Schedule: 9:30 am to 2:00 pm

What will you learn in this outdoor mushroom cultivation training?

During the workshop we will cover the foundations for creating a productive outdoor mushroom growing space.

Setting up a mushroom cultivation area

You will learn:

— how to choose and zone the space

— differences between incubation and fruiting

— technical aspects and crop management

— materials and environmental conditions

Creating an edible growing bed

We will teach you the basics for starting a growing bed capable of producing mushrooms for several years.

We will jointly carry out the complete implementation of a cultivation of:

Pink oyster mushroom (Pleurotus djamor)

Practical applied mycoculture training

This is a hands-on training.

You will actively participate in building a real outdoor mushroom growing space, working directly with materials, substrates and implementation techniques.

The workshop includes:

A small mid-morning snack

Optional visit to outdoor mushroom growing sites

After lunch (packed lunch at each participant's own expense), we optionally offer a visit to a home garden with different crops established on growing beds in Olot (10 minutes from La Canya).

An opportunity to see real-world applications and share experiences about outdoor mushroom growing.

Growing mushrooms, growing autonomy

This workshop was born out of a desire to share practical tools to reconnect with food growing, the forest and living processes.

We look forward to exploring together the fascinating world of the fungal kingdom.
