Learn to multiply mycelium of medicinal and edible mushrooms at home

In this hands-on workshop you will learn different techniques for reproducing and propagating mycelium using common and easily accessible organic materials, with no need for a sterile environment.

We will work in a practical and applied way so you can understand how to multiply an initial mycelium source into a larger volume, with the goal of inoculating your own substrates for mushroom cultivation, both for food and medicinal purposes.

This is a training designed to expand your knowledge of fungal self-sufficiency and bring you closer to mushroom cultivation from a practical, accessible and regenerative perspective.

What will you learn during the workshop?

Mycelium reproduction and propagation techniques

Throughout the day we will learn:

• How to reproduce mycelium on different organic materials
• How to expand an initial mycelium culture
• Which materials are most suitable for each species
• Basic principles of hygiene and handling
• How to prepare home inoculations without a sterile laboratory

During the workshop we will discuss and work with different species of medicinal and edible mushrooms:

• Oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus sp.)
• Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum)
• Giant Stropharia
• Parasol mushroom
• Morels
• Nameko

Practical part of the workshop

The training includes hands-on inoculation and mycelium propagation practices so you can see and experience the processes first-hand.
